Toyota is bringing more to it’ already super hit car models. You will have the Prius hybrid and Yaris hatchback with new standard safety equipment for 2017. And just in this time frame, the former Scion iA, Insurance Institute for Highway Safety Top Safety Picks has won the awards and has entered the Toyota Lineup as 2017 Toyota Yaris iA.
Prius hybrid is entering 2017 with Toyota Safety Sense P Package, a standard of all models. It includes fantastic features such as pre-collision warning, cruise control, automatic high-beam headlights, pedestrian detection, and an alert system for lane departure for assistance of bringing the vehicle back into the lane.
Of course the best doesn’t come free. The additional technological drives has resulted in a modest increase in price of Prius, cost increase for Prius Two, Three, and Four as much as PKR 53,905 and a bit more for Prius Three Touring and Prius Four Touring Trims-as little as PKR 4,710.
2017 Yaris hatchback also comes with new standard Toyota Safety Sense C that features automatic high-beams, pre-collision warning, and lane-departure alert. These safety additions have increased the average price of Yaris hatchback for PKR 37,157. As per Toyota the cost of entry rising of PKR 39,774 is bringing four-speed automatic transmission in Yaris L and the same for Yaris L for as little as PKR 34,541.
A badge of Toyota to iA further increases the price of subcompact sedan by PKR 26167. Although, similar to last year the car has a six-speed automatic transmitter only. All the other features such as push button start, 7.0 inch touch screen infotainment system, allot wheels, and rest come as standard.
Apart from the latest news, let’s just briefly discuss Toyota Yaris for you since we know how well Prius 2016 is performing, we can expect even better from the next one-so, for the all the buyers of new cars who visit motor trader, Pakwheels, or Carmudi often. We don’t have any word about the pricing yet but the new Prius and Yaris is scheduled to arrive in dealerships late this fall in the States and in Pakistan you can expect it earlier next year.
