Zong or China Mobile Pakistan, a pan-Pakistani mobile network and an internet service provider have been caught red-handed for injecting Advertisements as well as Malware through their network traffic. People using Zong Internet specifically Zong Mobile Broadband devices reportedly saw some awkward toolbar at the bottom of each website. The toolbar shows user some statistics about their connection as well as some ads related to Zong Products.
Think about it for a second that Zong is monitoring your traffic and injecting its own code. This is not only obtrusive, but can cause significant problems with normal Web application function. It’s totally odious.

Zong is injecting their weird toolbar on websites using WordPress technology. This is seem to be illegal as injecting any content on someone else website without their consent is totally illegal and Zong is doing so. But legality does not guarantee good taste. Part of the service agreement undoubtedly says they have the right to route your traffic how they see fit, including via their own proxy servers, which may or may not modify the content. It is worth mentioning here that Zong toolbar is using Dropbox icon for its own bundle service which is also illegal.
Zong is telling their customers that the toolbar is an auxiliary tool running in your browser neither requires installation nor consumer data. On the other hand Zong has also provided opt-out settings for this toolbar.
